A full week of skiing, snowboarding & partying it up in the Alpes, with 500 other GUSSCateers, the annual Christmas Trip is bound to be one of the best weeks of your life. This year we will be travelling with Wasteland ski, leaving Glasgow on the 30th December 2016 and returning on the 7th January 2017 (get the date on yer calendar and yer shifts booked aff work!).
As always, the location of our trip will be kept super-secret until Cheese and Wine (btw there’s a chance you can get a 5er off if you come so don’t miss out!). But not to worry, we can guarantee that wherever we go there will be fresh snow, amazing après and even better nightlife!
Europe is home to some of the best après ski, with notorious on and off hill bars such as Pano, Saloon and of course La Folie Douce! On each day there will be an organised GUSSC après, so if you feel like getting on it early or just chilling after a long day on the slopes come and see what’s crackin’ and enjoy the mountain lifestyle.
Enjoy a night out in Glasgow? Good. It’s got nothing on a night in the Alpes. Whether you are looking for a chilled bar to have some drinks with friends or you want to go all out seasonaire staying out till early hours of the morning, guaranteed you will find it in the alpes (Pretty much anything goes). We like a little bit of dress up here at GUSSC, so, FANCY DRESS IS ESSENTIAL!!! Themes will be announced closer to the trip. Don’t be the odd one out.
And remember – NO PARENTS, NO RULES
The infamous GUSSC mountain meal is an experience of its own. It is what you make it. Best way to find out about it is to ask those who have been on the trip before. This year we hope to run some more events throughout the week like the mountain meal – exciting.
Last but not least – and the most important part – the skiing and snowboarding. We take lots of time in deciding which resort to visit each year. We want to guarantee you will have a great week of skiing and snowboarding. Each resort we visit has a large variety of slopes to accommodate the beginner’s right up to the most advanced skiers – lessons and day refresher courses are also available if you feel you need them. On or off the piste you are bound to have an amazing week. We try to mix things up a bit and visit a different resort each year. Past trips have been run to Val Thorens, Alpe D’Huez & Tignes. Where will we be going this year?!?!?!
Torin says “You’re here for a good time, not a long time, so make sure you book onto SKI TRIP 2017!!!”
